The Barracks is a production building for the Vinci. It costs 75 Timonium and can build infantry and clockwork based units.

Description

The Vinci barracks is a simple supply quarter and drilling grounds... at least it was until Giacomo changed the face of Vinci warfare. Now, most barracks also contain a complete Clockwork Creation and Repair shop, for the various devices that are built there.

Overview

Basic ground units come from the Barracks. Your standard Vinci soldier, the Imperial Musketeer, is a ranged unit with several useful modes. The Clockwork Man has a powerful melee attack, and the Clockwork Spider combines a trample attack with an anti-air weapon.

Units

Unit	Description
Imperial Musketeers	Vinci soldier. Weak ranged attack. Can storm enemy Cities to reduce them to zero health. Best against lightly armored foes.
Clockwork Man	Mechanical man. Medium sweeping melee attack. Increased combat and strength when other Clockwork units are nearby. Bonus healing when nearby clockwork units are killed. Best against small ground foes.
Clockwork Spider	Mechanical spider. Medium melee attack with trample. Mini-cannon fires on-the-move against air targets. Can use the Web power to immobilize and damage foes. Best against small ground foes and lightly armored air units.

Clockwork Man Upgrades
Clockwork Man	Research to allow production of Clockwork Men.
Heavy Clockwork Man	Upgrades all Clockwork Men. Requires Large City. Medium strong sweeping melee attack.
Super Clockwork Man	Upgrades all Heavy Clockwork Men. Requires Great City. Strong sweeping melee attack.
Clockwork Spider Upgrades
Clockwork Spider	Research to allow production of Clockwork Spiders. Requires Large City.
Heavy Clockwork Spider	Upgrades all Clockwork Spiders. Requires Great City. Enhanced mechanical spider. Strong melee attack with powerful trample. Can use the Greater Web power to immobilize and damage foes.
